Got my time down to 29 minutes.

I feel like I'm pushing myself harder then ever and frankly I have to because I need to be skinnier. How I have sunk so far, so quick is beyond me but I have to rectify it and I will!

Even though I haven't posted I've still been on the grind.

I have now lost a total of 5 pounds and 2 have come this week. Ive amped my exercise routine up quite a bit. I started with 2.2 miles and it took me 41 minutes (mainly because of all the ice). Then I got it down to 38 min, then 35 min and yesterday I did it in 31 minutes. My goal is to get the jog down to 20 minutes then increase the distance to 40 minutes again. Maybe I'll be able to do 5 miles in 40 minutes someday but for now my slow pace works perfectly for my body. I'm way to big and my weight seems to be crushing my legs when I run. I hate to say this but slow and steady seems to be the way to go. And I've decided my progression videos will go up after the second month. I do some ridiculous things on them so I'm hesitant to post em' up. LOL. Also still trying to not eat past 7, but its hard. I'm still working with the 10 lb weights everyday; I can't wait to lose more weight so can utilize my pull-up bar and dip bar. I'm way to fat right now to pull myself more then 5 times LOL. But that 260 lbs each time which I guess makes me pretty strong. Hopefully tomorrow I can get down to 30 min...

I've been naughty... :(

Been bad on my diet as of late... And I can't really go outside and do much of anything because everything is ice. I probably walked and jogged a tiny bit for about 2 miles today. So I'm getting back in the routine of things. My body has really taken to the 10 lb pounds and im seeing vast improvements. I just have to focus on the cardio for my stomach because I feel that my gut is holding me back right now. I'm back in track now... I just have to realize, I can do this.

It really feels like God doesn't want me to work out.

I go outside this morning to see an inch or 2 of snow on the ground. I start to jog on the snow which was fine. The problem was the fact that people shoveled the snow and it started hailing, so it was basically like trying to jog on sheets of ice. I really cant win anymore, but I'm gonna stick with it. And tomorrow of course a foot of snow is on the way. At least I'll be getting exercise while shoveling this freakin snow. I'm gonna keep trying to workout however I can!!!

Been jogging outside now.

I haven't been doing much, just 3 laps around the block in the mornings. I want to increase the lap count per day until Friday. Then each week increase the lap count by 1. So by the end of the week I hopefully should be up to 7 by Friday. I feel like 7 laps around the block plus the inverted sit ups and the short weight exercises will do me some real good. I stopped weighing myself every week and am going to weigh myself every two weeks at a time now. I haven't eaten past 9 in a long time now, which is quite the change from eating at 1 every night. I start class today I have to have a joke prepared for class. My joke is: What did one saggy tit say to the other saggy tit? If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts. LOL. I know I'm corny. Hopefully it goes over well just like my new workout strategy. It sucks being forced into it, but I'm ready.

Forced to turn it up!!!

Well I was on my stair stepper for 10 minutes today and I heard a crack. I looked at the stair stepper up and down; I didn't see a thing. I hoped back on it and it turns out I broke it, that made me feel really fat. So I said to myself should I not do anything or should I start running outside. Running outside is what I chose. Its kind of wild that I broke the thing but its about 7 years old and its only had fat people on it. LOL. I forgot to weigh myself and measure myself but heres a little tip. Don't weigh yourself so often. It discourages you rather then motivates you, trust me. This happens because your weight fluctuates. In any case, now I have to jog and walk outside. People don't shovel shit around here, so its a real pain in the ass. The street was my side walk today; I wish I could just go to peoples houses and beat the shit out of their lazy asses. I HATE FREEPORT SOMETIMES!!!! And of course wouldn't you know it we're supposed to get another foot here like Monday or Tuesday. Most snow I've seen on Long Island since I've been born and I'm 24. Maybe our climate is really changing for the worse, I mean our magnetic poles shifted. Off topic I know, but just keep working out and liking your new bodies everyone!

Another foot of snow!!!!!

Whats going on with our weather, we haven't gotten this much snow in years. Maybe 2012 is real, maybe California is really going to get that super storm this month. Okay I know I went on a tangent there but we're at, at least, 40 inches on the year now. Anyway I don't think I'm going to do the stair stepper today because I just spent an hour shoveling snow. I did my 30 inverted sit-ups and have not been eating late anymore. Lets see what happens... One more week and I'll be posting videos of my slow, yet magical transformation. I'll probably need to do this for at least one more month before people can see a real difference. I'm dedicated to my body now, so I'll make it happen. Remember, you can do the same!!!!

I know, I know I forgot to post yesterday...

Well it was a busy day but I still kept up my workouts. I did 40 minutes on the stair stepper, 30 inverted sit-ups and I used the 10 pound weights for a little bit. I've been back on track since Sunday's debacle. School was supposed to start today but one of my classes is already cancelled, I basically have to go to Hofstra in a blizzard for one class. I don't think so! So I have today off but shoveling is in my near future though. LOL. The reason I didn't post yesterday was because my friends package came and I was busy playing with the contents. A beer bong and a bierstick, Jose you are my God. LOL. Me and my friend Brian also finished our script, hope it doesn't suck. Anyway I broke down a bought a pack of cigarettes on Monday. I know, I'm a fool but I just finished the pack yesterday and haven't felt like having one since. So lets see where this takes me. Getting in shape is easy if you realize this simple fact, Losing weight takes times. It's hard but life ain't easy so keep on truckin everyone. Be back tomorrow for more updates...

Setbacks stink!!!!!

Well it was my mother's birthday yesterday and when theres a birthday, theres always lots of food. I got sucked back into eating a ton. It was a struggle to finish my 40 min on the stair stepper this morning and the inverted sit-ups were as hard as ever. I checked my waste and of course I gained .5 inches back. It's a setback, it stinks, but it happens. I'll get over it and you'll get over yours too. I'm not going to lie; I'm quite mad at myself for having zero self control when food is in my face. At least I'm still doing my exercises and realizing I did something stupid yesterday that I don't really want in the long run. On a cheery note I'm still off cigarettes and I was a pack-a-day smoker. Life changes!!!! And I started tutoring my neighbor. Shes a 3rd grader and I think I really want to become a teacher now!!!! After I finish my Bachelors in English at Hofstra it'll be time to find another school to obtain my Masters. Besides that keep at it everyone...

Workout songs that should get you motivated, because they certainly move me.

Ludacris - Move Bitch

DJ Felli Fel - Feel it (FT. T-Pain, Sean Paul, Pitbull & Flo-Rida)

Hope everyone gets pumped up to these tracks!

It's football Sunday!!!!

Well let me first just say Happy Birthday to my mom!!!! I woke up at 7:30 this morning to exercise, then maDe breakfast for the family and baked my mother a cake. This morning I moved my stair stepper time up to 40 minutes. I'm beginning to feel like the stair stepper doesn't help me at all anymore. Well it should be warmer soon enough so I can get outside and see what kind of progress I've made. I also did 30 inverted sit ups - and might I add, that they are becoming very easy for me. Later I'll probably use my ab-straps and my two 10 pound weights and get some exercises done with them. I'm excited because I've been at it for almost a month now. But I'm sad because I have pigged out the past two days. I'm worried what the scale will say but I'm ready for it's verdict. Since I'm from NY I might as well throw this out there, "THE JETS ALL THE WAY BABY!" See everyone tomorrow and enjoy your football Sunday, however you may be spending it. I know , I promised new exercise music. I will try and post some new songs later.

Snow again?????

Well it snowed again on Long Island and frankly I'm not too happy. We've had about 36 inches in the past 3 weeks - which is a lot for my neck of the woods. Any-who, I did my 30 minutes on the stair stepper. Then I had to shovel out my house, which I personally feel is a decent exercise. I currently lost 2 pounds and 4 inches off my waist since I've been measuring for the last two weeks. Also if you don't eat past 8 p.m. and eat 5 small meals that are spread out through the day; you should be fine. Just stick with it like I am, we can do this!!!!! More workout music that helps to get you pumped and videos of my progress will be posted within the next two weeks. Stay tuned...

Back again...

I'm still following through with my weight loss routine: 30 inverted sit-ups and 30 minutes on the stair stepper. I feel like I look different, but the scale says otherwise. Thats why I carry around my measuring tape. I've lost 4 inches off my waist since I started - it looks like I'm bulking up. I hope I am, I hope its not my imagination running wild. Someone once said, "You don't realize how strong a person really is until you see them at their weakest moment." I've hit that point and I'm sure if you're here reading this article you have too. Don't fret, just follow my lead and you'll succeed!

I'm a little late with my post today...

I know, but I'm still going strong; 30 minutes on the stair stepper and 30 inverted sit-ups now. Thats pretty impressive for me, but it compares nothing to not having bought a pack of cigarettes since the new year. I was a pack a day smoker; now maybe I have one or none a day, but either way I've been feeling a lot better. It makes you think - like why did I even start smoking in the first place - stupidest thing I've ever done. Its all about correcting the bad choices in life. Don't get bogged down, just know you always have the power to overcome anything. I leave you with a very inspirational quote from Eleanor Roosevelt, "You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

Some music that actually helps me work-out...

1) New Clinton Sparks club track- It really gets me moving. LOL.

2) Metallica, Fuel- This song gets me hyped and its for those hip-hop haters out there.

Another day closer our goal...

Today I found a quote written by Benjamin Franklin; you could associate this quote with weight loss, "You may delay, but time will not." I take it as, don't wait forever because time keeps going even though you're procrastinating. So stick with it and all shall be fine. I have maintained my eating habits quite well thus far in my weight loss game, you have to do the same. Whatever you do, try not to eat past 8 p.m. It's not good for your body to eat that late but if you have to eat, please eat something light like a yogurt. This morning I woke up and did 27 inverted sit-ups and 30 minutes on my stair stepper. As soon as I finish this blog I am going to eat the most important meal of the day, breakfast. It's crucial that you eat a hearty and healthy breakfast every morning because it ignites your body for the day. Later in the day I will probably use the two dumbbells for about 15-30 minutes doing various arm exercises. Also it wouldn't hurt to do some more with your abs, I have ab straps so I usually will do that at night. If you feel the need just do some sit-ups for that workout, but again its not needed. Remember losing weight takes time, this is why I bought Taylor's measuring tape. Check different areas of your body to see that you might actually be losing weight because muscle weighs more then fat!!!!! Good-day and I'll return tomorrow with more tips and advice... Stay fit long-island!!!!!!

Today we're going to make some progress...

First off lets discuss how you can keep yourself motivated while trying to lose weight. Recently I started filling out sticky notes with my waste, bicep, calve, and neck size. I also started to right down the time and steps I take everyday. This will help you see what you did in the previous day, week, or month. The reason for this is to help you stick with your workouts. Write an inspirational quote, that might help you realize its actually better to stay with it.
I started off with 5 minutes on my stair stepper, moved to 10 minutes, then onto 20 minutes and finally I'm at 30 minutes. This is within 2 weeks times by the way. Also I get on my inversion table every single day and do at least 20 inverted sit-ups, remember the key word at least. Try to incorporate some dumbbells while your walking or doing the stair stepper because you can lose extra weight (its a form of circuit training, a very mild form).
Finally grab two dumbbells your comfortable with and do arm exercises with them. I will post pictures of myself to show people I have lost the weight before. I'm not just one of those douche bags, who tries to make money off your problem. Next post will include in-depth arm exercises and eating techniques to help you lose weight faster. Stay healthy!!!!

Greetings friends...

I know what it's like to be overweight, I am still overweight. Two years ago I achieved my life-long goal, weight loss. I weighed 260lbs at my heaviest and two years ago I got down to 199lbs. Sadly, I have fallen back into bad habits. My weight loss routine is easy if you consider the following to be enjoyable: never eat past 8, do 40 minutes of cardio (of course you should work your way up to that amount), utilize two dumbbells for 10 min and have an inversion table or do a lot of sit-ups. In numerous upcoming articles, I'll be writing my ideas on how to help people fight their weight. I'll discuss my workout routine and eating habits as I move along in my search for weight loss once again. I know its hard to stick with it so send emails to k.lewis907@yahoo.com if you're having trouble. I look forward to your questions and feedback.
